PARTY:: VOGUE MASQUERADE

15 Nov
Hope you all had a beautiful weekend! I finally had a successful trip to the beach Saturday and a hot and sticky Sunday at Newtown Festival. The first tan of the summer is setting in and now it’s back to work! Didn’t manage to fit in a masquerade ball with my supermodel and designer friends.. but here’s just a little peak into that fab fantasy.

EDITORIAL:: CHORES + GLAMOUR

27 Oct

My friend Marisa once told me she likes to wear pretty sundresses to do chores – it makes grocery shopping all the less mundane. I loved the idea and I want to start putting it into practice (if not dresses then at the very least some lipstick)! And besides, we could all use a bit more glamour in our lives, right? Here’s an editorial to get us into the spirit of things.

Thank you Abbey Lee, for inspiring me to get bangs. And now showing me how to make them work with my curly hair.

EDITORIAL:: ABBEY LEE + BOLD BANGS

9 Jun
I’ve posted this Vogue Japan editorial before. But I can’t shake the thought of bold bangs from my mind. And seeing as my hair is curly I’m trying to reason that waves and bangs can work in harmony. My proof? Abbey. But do I have to pierce my nose to achieve the same edge? It might be worth it.
(Sorry for all the hair posts.. but feel free to admire all of the leather in this editorial!)

EDITORIAL:: INSTA-CHIC BOB

7 Jun

I adore Abbey Lee’s new do. So sleek & chic with a cool 70’s vibe. It reminds me of the Lanvin FW 2010 hair I’ve posted before. Yet somehow, despite the insta-chic effect of this bob on Abbey Lee, I fear it would have a decidedly un-cool insta-soccer-mom effect on me.

So for now I’ll file this under “haircuts to try when I get old.” (A few of Katie Holmes’ looks are already waiting there).
