HANNE GABY ODIELE in NUMERO TOKYO

4 Jan

HANNE GABY ODIELE NUMERO TOKYO NOVEMBER 2011

 Just can’t stop looking at this photo from Numero Tokyo’s November issue. The monochromatic head-to-toe pink, the collar under a collar, and last but not least, the Alexander Wang fluffiness that should not even be allowed to touch the pavement.

They remind me of puppies, or penguins – both of which I love.

RUNWAY:: ALEXANDER WANG SPRING 2012

12 Sep

ALEXANDER WANG SPRING 2012 RTW ALEXANDER WANG SPRING 2012 Leave it to Alexander Wang to instill in me a deep insatiable desire based on something I have absolutely no interest in — NASCAR.
I know I know, NASCAR on the runway sounds like a Project Runway challenge (I’m picturing the resulting stoplight and car tire creations). But not Alexander Wang. He was inspired by speed and aerodynamics, checkered flags, mesh pockets, perforated leather, and “emergency orange” accents.

NASCAR. So hot right now.

ACCESSORIES:: ROSEGOLD

Isn’t it divine? Clearly I need more of this color in my accessory arsenal. I can’t pick a favorite so, add it all to the wish list.

RUNWAY:: T by Alexander Wang Resort 2012

T by Alexander Wang Resort 2012T by Alexander Wang Resort 2012

This never happens – I prefer the T by A Wang’s Resort to the more expensive Alexander Wang. Mostly because I can more easily see myself wearing the T collection for every day.
Can we all take a second to collectively freak out about 2012??
How is it that we’re halfway through 2011? I feel like New Year’s Eve just happened, slow dooown.

ACCESSORIES:: WANG FALL 11

Sure black is a staple, but I love me some navy blue. And now that the Alexander Wang Diego bucket bag comes in navy, there’s almost no resisting it. Be strong! Don’t fall prey to the fury flourishes and shiny colors of Alexander Wang accessories fall 2011. Try not to think about how long your leg would look poised atop a shiny pink stiletto. But again I revert back to my safe and stable love affair – navy. I’m picturing black skinny’s, black tee, black boots, black leather jacket, and Diego stealing the show in navy.   I was never a Diego bucket bag girl before, I always preferred the blue PS1, but doesn’t that leather look divine?

WHAT I WORE:: Silk pants

27 Apr
Quick shot of what I wore. These shoes are nearly impossible to walk in, I feel like I’m tipping over in them! I spent a year searching for these babies and when I finally bought them they went missing in transit for 3 months! But, Alexander Wang, you are certainly worth the wait.

INTERIORS:: Dream Duo

6 Mar

Two of my greatest inspirations in one spot: Alexander Wang’s apartment, as designed by Ryan Korban.
I mean seriously? I couldn’t dream of a more exciting duo for me personally. If Alex could just design my wardrobe and Ryan could design my home then I’d be one blissfully happy chick (not to mention the coolest hippest fiercest human you’ve ever met).
Now excuse me while I go daydream this scenario a bit longer…

NYFW:: Wang Baby

17 Feb
Allow me to introduce you to Alexander Wang’s niece, Aila.
She’s flexed more style muscle in her meer 6 months than I have in all my 24 years.
Charming, yet depressing.
I believe we could all learn a thing or two from Aila. Striped shift dress, black tights, moccasins, shaggy fur coat, and Chanel bag. Can’t you see Nicole Richie sporting this? Except not so.. mini.

NYFW:: Wang + Tweet

Wang wrecks shop.
Meanwhile the internets are rife with fashion week tweets, and after a few informative conversations with friends (so what does # mean???) I’ve officially started a Twitter!
