 I hope your day is as bright and lovely as this! I’m thinking of making this Color of the Week a regular series on Fuji Files, what do you guys think?

Is it a keeper?

INTERIORS:: Erin Fetherston’s apartment

31 Jan
This photo of Erin Fetherston’s Paris apartment makes me want to try a column of uniform picture frames  in an un-loved corner of my apartment. Ideally these picture frames would cost $2 each and the whole project would take 1 hour – unlikely. Also in love with her chevron wood floors. Yum.

INTERIORS:: PAINTED PICTURE FRAME

3 Oct
I have a big black & white picture frame on a grey wall, and as I’ve said before I’m really wanting to paint the walls a light grey to make my artwork pop more. But maybe I should just paint the frame? About 1/100th the surface area, work, and cost – and it looks great here!

INTERIORS:: WALL ART

16 Jun
I’m of the opinion that you can frame or hang just about anything on your wall and make it look like art. A car? Random paint splatters? A stranger’s face? If it’s expertly framed or on a big canvas, you’re set. You see I’m suffering a bit from a stalled wall of picture frames, possibly being too picky with what goes up. Perhaps I should splatter some paint on a canvas and call it a day? Anyway, here’s some inspiration..

INTERIORS:: HOME THRIFTING

10 Jun
This real home is packed with style and done on a budget. Most of the art and furniture are thrifted or diyed, which just goes to show that, with a bit of style and ingenuity – you can do it! Ideas to take home: collections of thrifted finds displayed on a simple white backdrop makes for high style, like candlesticks, picture frames, and books.

INTERIORS:: PICTURE FRAMES + WHITE WALLS

1 Jun
I have one empty white wall in my bedroom. Perhaps I should throw together a selection of frames, necklaces, and antlers like this. And a collection of Moroccan lamps (see bottom left corner). No, I don’t have a collection of Moroccan lamps… yet.
